Architectural Planning & Design

Designing a custom home that will fit your needs, visions, location and budget is the most critical step you will take in achieving your hybrid log or timber home dreams. Whether you start with an existing floor plan or from scratch, your personal home consultant and designer at Wisconsin Log Homes will make certain that the design process is efficient and enjoyable. Our goal is to first help you clearly define your design requirements and then tailor each detail to your personal needs and specifications.

On-Site Design Consultations

During the early design phase, we’ll gather information about your building site and decide if a site visit will be appropriate for your needs. During the on-site visit, we’ll walk your property together and look for major views and setback issues like wetlands or area restrictions. We’ll also consider nearby homes, topography and grade, and determine where the sun sets and rises. Taking all these details into consideration, we’ll discuss design possibilities that will maximize exposure and aesthetics, and create a home that will blend effortlessly into its surroundings.

National Turn-Key Construction

Each client is assisted with construction in one form or another during the Wisconsin Log Homes experience. Some may decide to use our in-house construction services – where you’ll receive a user ID and password to your private Client Link page on our website for instant access to schedules, timelines, updates, photos, and more – while others want help qualifying or selecting a builder in their area. If you do not have a builder in mind, we can align you with skilled construction crews in your area who will meet the unique needs of you and your project. Our National Builder Network consists of qualified and experienced builders who we work very closely with and trust to build Wisconsin Log Homes.

Interior Design & Decor

Designing and building a custom hybrid home opens up the door to many design possibilities. With so many choices and styles available today, it is sometimes overwhelming for clients to make comfortable decisions and stay on top of the building process. Our resident Interior Designer works with each client from the preliminary planning stage to completion, assisting with exterior finish selections like stain, window cladding, hardware and roof colors. In addition to assisting with coordinating package components, Wisconsin Log Homes’ interior designer will also generate a furniture layout customized to your floor plan to give you a better sense of proportion, and to make sure each room will live up to its expectations before your home is built. Complete consultative services include full-circle interior design assistance with paint and finish colors, flooring, lighting, furnishings, cabinetry, masonry selection, doors, accessories, and personal help on move-in day.
