  6. I use Dawn dish detergent to keep bugs and other critters off my veggies and flowers. It is healthier than pesticides.

  7. I use outdoor dog kennels instead of garden fencing. They are tall, have a door and keep critters out.

  8. Plant each plant at the right time, give it the appropriate water and food and sun and talk to them

  10. Take the “remains” of your fishing trip and bury them 12″ deep in the bed after harvest . worlds best fertilizer

  11. I grow dill in my herb garden with my other herbs mainly because it repels insects. I also use potted mint to do the same.

  12. I weed as often as possible and allow all volunteers to grow.

  13. This year I planted my potatoes in milk crates; line the outer edges with flat newspaper, then mound dirt/compost mixture on top of chopped up potato pieces, and keep moist. Worked well!

  17. I use straw around my plants to help hold in moisture, so I don’t have to water as often and it also helps cut down on weeds.

  20. I catch water in trash cans to water my plants and conserve water and I wear bug repellant to repel ticks after getting lyme disease a few years back

  21. My cat helps keep our garden gopher free, he loves to play with them. He doesn’t kill them, but they soon tire of the game and relocate.

  22. Not sure which question so for gardening I keep the weeds out and a watering schedule. My cat is a goof ball from hiding and pouncing on the puppy to climbing in brown paper bags and jumping out he is just plain silly
