At Walden 19th Century Antique Log Homes, we take great pride in our craftsmanship and quality. Scott Kelley, owner and founder of Walden, has been building antique log homes for more than 20 years. He still closely supervises every home we build.

All of our homes are built with antique logs—logs that were hand hewn and hand notched over a century ago. Cut from the hearts of the biggest trees on the frontier, our logs function as well today as they did hundreds of years ago, and with their classic patina, look even better today. Rife with history, our logs have the added benefit of being recycled, thus eliminating the need to fell live trees.

When these time-tested materials are transformed into unique, gracious homes which blend our American heritage with modern comforts and amenities—like ample, light-filled kitchens, spacious bedrooms and luxurious, state-of-the-art bathrooms—the final effect is stunning.

Just recently, Walden was selected by Alan Wanzenberg, one of the top architectural design firms in the world, to do the log work for one of its client’s homes. We also just completed a project for the Vail Alpine Garden Foundation, which is part of the Betty Ford Clinic.

Walden will work with your custom house plans or can help you design your plans if you prefer. We build your log home on our site initially, then dismantle the structure and ship the logs to your site, anywhere in the country. There, a Walden advisor will oversee the reassembly of the structure by your contractor.
