It’s amazing how one detail can take a simple plan and give it some pizazz...With the The Tahoe, it’s the curved bay of windows in the dining room that follows the same geometry as the curved cut outs in the corner system.
Brilliant!

Too bad that Top Notch Log Homes of Waynesville, NC didn't enter. In my judgement they have the perfect log home under 2000 square feet. It's their "Bear Creek" model. Everything anyone could ask for ... big kitchen, utility room, very flexible and the feeling that it is much larger than it is.
Top Notch is owned by Pioneer Log systems of KIngston Springs, TN.
Take a look at their web site.

Thank you for the Top 10 small log home plans. However, for me, "small" means under 1,500 sq. feet. But..we all have our definitions. I would like to see your best plans under 1,500 feet as that is what I'm considering for retreat. How did Jim Barna fair? Or did that company enter?
Just curious.
Thanks!
