Well-maintained, tree-lined hiking trails wind throughout the property, providing residents with a safe pathway to explore the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. You have the option to hit the trails by foot or on horseback (the community has its own eight-stall barn onsite), and you can take advantage of the trails’ rest areas, fire pits and exercise stations along the way.
One hundred acres of the community’s land has been set aside for mainstream sporting activities, like horseshoes, putting greens, basketball and volleyball. There are even plans for a full-sized tennis court, featuring 360-degree views of the surrounding mountain ranges.

Once your game is up to par (literally), drive down the road to the course at The Ridges Country Club in Hayesville, North Carolina. Although the club’s amenities are exclusive to members, anyone can play the course.
And that’s not all the area has to offer. Western North Carolina is home to a wealth of cultural and visual arts. From traditional Appalachian crafts to glassblowing, pottery or metalworking, you’ll find that art is part of the lifestyle here.
