Star Quality Tin barn stars (first used as a calling card by Amish barn builders in the 19th century) have enjoyed quite a resurgence in recent years—it’s almost impossible to visit an antique store or flip through an outdoor-decor catalog without seeing those familiar five points. I’m partial to Viva Terra’s versions, though, because they’re the real deal: The weathered tin used to make the stars is salvaged from actual barn roofs, and they’re hand-pressed by Amish craftsmen in the same centuries-old tradition. $55 to $75 Call 800-233-6011, or visit their website.
