Over the past twenty years, Richard’s artisanal craft has emphasized pictorial reliefs of wildlife, landscapes, the human form, and floral motifs. The carving is low relief (less than 1/2″ deep). Creating the illusion of depth, perspective and form in low relief is one of Richard’s signature skills.
The carved doors themselves are built with floating panels and engineered stiles, providing a stable, reliable door that will endure any climate, from the Rocky Mountain high country to the Florida lowlands. All doors are finished prior to shipment to ensure they have a long and healthy life. Several wood species are available. All doors are signed, numbered and copyrighted.
