Pioneer Log Systems Inc. is a family-owned-and-operated company that takes pride in the quality of its workmanship and materials. Choose from hand-hewn, dovetailed, square log homes, the 6-by-8-inch or 8-by-8-inch stack or half-round log or post-and-beam structures.
Custom-built profiling machinery enables Pioneer Log Systems Inc. to offer a wide range of log shapes and surfaces and accurate, precise timbers for a tight, well-constructed home. Hand-hewn homes are constructed of western hemlock, up to 40 feet in length, and eastern white pine. Half-round log homes are milled from kiln-dried pine in lengths from 8 to 16 feet. In addition, western cedar and pressure-treated materials are offered. No chemical treatment is used on the logs.
Pioneer Log Systems Inc. uses its Chinkatex chinking system. The Chinkatex styrene insulation is installed during erection of the home, helping to provide air-tight walls while allowing for the natural shrinkage and settling. It also provides the base for the application of the exterior chinking material.
