Lake Anna’s waters may run hot and cold, but when it comes to getting away from it all, they’re just right.

My husband and I built a log home on Lake Anna last summer and moved here from FL. I guess we are called Half Backs as we had moved to FL from Ma. to get away from the storms. Then we got hit head on with Hurricane Charley in 2004. We did not want to stay in FL as we were almost killed with 174m/h winds that destroyed our house. When we saw Lake Anna and then subscribed to The Log Home Magazine we became very excited to re-locate. No hurricanes here and the winter this year was beautiful. We moved in last Aug. and are proud that we were able to complete our beautiful log home as our contractor went bankrupt. We are located on a hill overlooking the water, with beautiful mountains in view over the horizon. The sunsets are awesome with exciting boating and fishing. We are so happy to have moved here and love our log home. We recommend it to anyone who wants the tranquility of nature, but have nearby cities for shopping, the arts, etc.
