| The home's careful placement in an existing stand of trees allows the Brookes to convene with nature from the comfort of their home. No curtains are necessary. You can see out through the trees, but it's totally private. |

| For the kitchen countertops, Claudia and Lee initially wanted soapstone but opted instead for charcoal-gray ceramic tile cut to look like a slab. The countertops, along with stainless steel appliances, break up the wood in the room. |
