A cedar and stone log home exterior front view.
The Baldwins' cedar-log-and-shake-shingle cottage sits on a heavily wooded one-acre shaded lot overlooking Chestnut Valley Golf Course.

The Baldwins' home offers 700 square feet of outdoor living space in the form of multiple covered porches, a sun deck, a breezeway and a covered entry.

Cedar log home family-style kitchen with yellow cabinets and Corian solid-surface counter.
Stephanie originally wanted red cabinets distressed with a black rub-through—until she saw the price for the custom finish. She stayed under budget by selecting maple cabinets painted a soft, butter-cream yellow. She brought in the red color she loves through a fruit-patterned Waverly wallpaper (also used in the dining room). The neutral countertops are Corian.

The custom, solid-mahogany Kolbe & Kolbe front door complements the exterior's cedar shakes, while the staircase features the same hand-hewn log rails and lattice detailing as the front porch. The living room and stairs are carpeted in a light-beige berber.

Cedar log home master bedroom suite with red accents and antiques
Stephanie's favorite color, red, adds pizzazz to the master bedroom via a plaid area rug, red floral spread on the sleigh-style bed and red drapes that stand out against the yellow walls and white-cedar trim. The pine-and-black-walnut chest was made by Stephanie's dad; the antique dresser once belonged to her great aunt.

This is a really ugly log house. I do not know why you would showcase it, it looks like a log house trying to be a vinyl house....

This is by far my dream home. My husband loooves cabins and so do I, but I also love craftsman style cottages. We have been looking for a home that is a combo of everything we love. Your home is beautiful. We would love it if you could email us more info about this perfect log cottage. Our email is: LYNXTRUJILLO@YAHOO.COM. We want to thank you for showcasing your home.
