| Stephanie originally wanted red cabinets distressed with a black rub-through—until she saw the price for the custom finish. She stayed under budget by selecting maple cabinets painted a soft, butter-cream yellow. She brought in the red color she loves through a fruit-patterned Waverly wallpaper (also used in the dining room). The neutral countertops are Corian. |

| The custom, solid-mahogany Kolbe & Kolbe front door complements the exterior's cedar shakes, while the staircase features the same hand-hewn log rails and lattice detailing as the front porch. The living room and stairs are carpeted in a light-beige berber. |

| Stephanie's favorite color, red, adds pizzazz to the master bedroom via a plaid area rug, red floral spread on the sleigh-style bed and red drapes that stand out against the yellow walls and white-cedar trim. The pine-and-black-walnut chest was made by Stephanie's dad; the antique dresser once belonged to her great aunt. |

This is a really ugly log house. I do not know why you would showcase it, it looks like a log house trying to be a vinyl house....
