Pressure Treating with Sodium Borate: Sodium Borate has now become an industry standard in treating log homes to deter wood digesting insects and decay. Lok-N-Logs however, is one of the few companies to fully pressure treat all log home components with this safe and non-toxic treatment.

Company History

Although Lok-N-Logs, Inc. begins its official history in 1975, the Lok-N-Logs story really begins over three-quarters of a century ago. That’s when Charles Webb, grandfather of Lok-N-Logs founder and current President, Jim Webb, began his sawmilling operation in Central New York. In 1925, he founded Webb & Sons, which quickly became one of the area’s largest retailers of milled hard and soft woods. Jim Webb took his knowledge of the lumber industry and in 1974 began exploring opportunities for working with log structures.

In 1975 Lok-N-Logs provided the logs for the restoration of Fort Stanwix in Rome, NY. This was the first of three major fort restorations. The production of log homes seemed a natural progression. To date over 4,000 Lok-N-Logs structures can be found throughout the United States, Canada, Wales, Japan, France and South Africa.

Manufacturing, sales and administration facilities are located in Sherburne, NY. Lok-N-Logs Inc. markets its precut log home packages through a nationwide dealer network, main office/models village and satellite office.

Using plantation grown red or white pine, Lok-N-Logs saws, peels, kiln dries, sodium borate pressure treats and precuts your log home components. Exterior log surfaces can be rustic peeled or milled smooth (D profile). Interior choices include our rustic peeled profile, shaped round and flat.

Log home packages can supply from a log only to a more complete shell in package. Lok-N-Logs traditional log home packages can be modified to contain panelized components for roof, dormers and gables.
