National Association of Home Builders & Kuhns Bros. Log Homes Featured in National Sustainability Magazine
Lewisburg, PA/Washington DC: Kuhns Bros. Log Homes, Inc. of Lewisburg, PA and the Log Homes Council (a council of the National Association of Home Builders), of Washington DC; were recently interviewed for an article in the national publication Live Better Magazine. According to the magazines website (www.centerforabetterlife.com) their mission is to “… educate people on the importance of sustainability in their daily lives”. The article was entitled “Better Building with Logs” and focuses on the benefits of log construction for all types and sizes of structures.

Log Homes touches on topics such as; the thermal mass of log walls and the effect on a building’s energy efficiency, the fire ratings of logs, and the structural integrity of log buildings. The Log Homes Council provided information about log buildings being environmental friendly and one of the most “sustainable structures” available. The article takes an in-depth look at the advantages of log construction for any type, or size of building.
