Log Knowledge designs and creates log homes, cabins and commercial structures using hand-peeled, full-round, lodgepole pine, Engelmann spruce and Douglas fir/larch timber. Home construction can be accomplished through horizontal log walls or post and beam construction.
Log Knowledge also produces log beams, columns and trusses for a variety of applications, including ornamental, structural and commercial. Each log shell is assembled at the Log Knowledge facility in northern Colorado. The prefabricated log shell is then labeled, disassembled and shipped to the owner’s site. The shell is then reassembled on the waiting foundation and subfloor system. Every log shell is a custom product, from the owner’s specific design requirements to the unique characteristics of the individual log members. Log Knowledge’s in-house drafting department puts the individual owner’s thoughts on paper and our skilled craftsmen bring the design to life.
In addition to log shell construction, Log Knowledge offers framing services to facilitate the completion of the home. Our framing department oversees such aspects as floors, frame walls, roof framing, door/window openings, chinking and other site-related work. Log Knowledge craftsmen have more than 75 years of combined building experience.
Log Knowledge also offers architectural design, construction drawings and structural engineering services. A 24-page floor plan booklet is available for $7. Log Knowledge also has a free color brochure which further defines its products and services.
