One Man’s Trash
Proof that treasure really can be found in the garbage can, these wastebaskets, made from discarded gum wrappers and potato-chip bags, are on the must-have list of green trendsetters everywhere. They’re produced by Nepalese artisans in conjunction with the SPIRAL Foundation, which uses the proceeds from its online gift shop to fund health care and community education programs in developing countries like Nepal and Vietnam.

$32 each.
