Honest Abe Log Homes sells, manufactures and builds log homes and timber frame homes. Each log or timber frame home is pre-cut, notched and numbered using modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. These precut packages or kits are shipped throughout the United States and the world.
Honest Abe Log Homes has been in the log home business since 1979, but it has been involved in the wood products and sawmill business since 1970. Many years of experience and thousands of homes completed make Honest Abe Log Homes a very dependable company. Homes are marketed throughout the world through direct salespeople and a network of independent dealers. Four company-owned sales models aid in the direct sales process.
Four log systems are offered: original chinked, milled D, round and genesis. These four systems provide a combination of square or round log look or log-on-log look and come completely precut, notched and numbered.
Log lengths vary up to 16-foot lengths. Log sizes are 6-by-10-inch, 6-by-12-inch, 8-by-8-inch, 6-by-6-inch or 10-inch round with saddle-notch corners. All logs are kiln dried, graded and stamped to meet national grading standards.
Doors and windows, subfloor, second-story beams and tongue-and-groove, roofs, porch or deck materials, interior trim, interior doors and interior tongue-and-groove make a very complete package.
Honest Abe Log Homes will contract to build the log home to a dry-in stage within certain distances of the national headquarters. Independent dealers are available in many different parts of the nation to provide construction services from dry ins to complete turn-key construction.
