More than 600 log homes have been built in the western United States and overseas to Japan by Homestead Log Homes. Apples to apples, we have the best prices.

Three styles of handcrafted log profiles are available in scribe-fit, three-sided and full-round with chinking. Machined, Swedish-cope logs are also an option. Construction features include saddle-notched shrink-to-fit corners, closed-cell double gaskets, Log Boss screws and 3/4-inch continuous steel through-bolts. Standard log diameters run 10-to-12-inch with 14-inch and 16-inch average logs available. Logs are graded for structural and appearance grades, with cabin grade logs available. Only dry, seasoned logs are used and a 10-year factory warranty is standard.

Every log home package includes log walls pre-assembled under a roof, out of the weather. Logs will be pre-drilled for through-bolts, electrical outlets, with window and door openings precut, log tails chamfered and sanded, arches cut and completely sprayed with a borate wood preservative. A full pre-assembly program is also available. Customers are invited to see their homes before they are dismantled and shipped to their job sites.

Two materials packages provide customers with either our standard package, a basic log shell kit with log staircase, posts and railings and roof decking, or a premier package that adds windows, doors, roofing, insulation and all of the lumber and plywood to complete a closed-shell log home.

Homestead Log Homes offers an affiliated contractor network up and down the West Coast. Shell packages include options like specialty log trusses and log work, purlin log roof systems, three styles of log staircases and a variety of roofing, window and door products.
