| Open House at Great Camps of the Smokies |
|
Nestled in the wilderness paradise of Graham County, 80 percent comprised of national forest, Great Camps of the Smokies, a collection of high-end second home retreats, provides home buyers an opportunity to visit during ongoing Open House events. Open to the public seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Open House includes a tour of the Great Camps communities and model homes. Upon request, guests can also enjoy a private boat excursion on pristine Lake Santeetlah, a 3,000 acre wilderness lake where more than 90 percent of the 80 miles of shoreline are protected as national forest - your potential backyard. Arrangements can also be made for whitewater rafting, hiking, fly fishing, horseback riding and other great adventures that the immediate area offers. “We want to provide our guests with an opportunity to learn more about Great Camps and experience the retreat destination,” states Developer and Visionary Jose Rosado. “Through our Open House events, buyers will not only be able to see what we have to offer, but can also envision themselves here.” Additionally, guests have the option of extending their visit by staying at The Great Camps Lodge on beautiful Lake Santeetlah, a private cottage which features 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms as well as a deck with direct access to the lake. Available in February 2008, the lodge starts at $200 (for LogHome.com viewers only - just tell them you heard about it here!!) a night, for two people, and is subject to availability. For more information or to make reservations, please call 1-866-813-5253. Great Camps of the Smokies is a short drive from Charleston, S.C., Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta, Ga., Raleigh N.C., Asheville, N.C. and Knoxville, Tenn. Inspired by the wilderness ethic that gave rise to the Great Camps of the Adirondacks in the late 1800s, the Great Camps of the Smokies includes a collection of high-end vacation and second home retreats blending a respect and reverence for nature with careful land planning, thoughtful architectural expression and authentic adventure-filled recreational amenities that showcase the remoteness and beauty of each locale. Surrounded by North Carolina’s Nantahala National Forest, Great Camps’ communities include Santeetlah Lakeside, Wildsprings, Twelve Moons and Blue Winds. Each community will be equipped with a Great Camps Outdoors Counselor who can arrange activities as well as a dedicated concierge service. Amenities include The Santeetlah Canoe Club, which will provide amenities and access to the 3,000-acre Lake Santeetlah, Natural Havens, Organic Community Gardens and Great Meadow at Wildsprings. For more information, please call toll-free 1-866-813-5253, or visit The Great Camps Lodge online. |
