Four Seasons Log Homes specializes in energy-efficient log homes, using kiln-dried Ontario white pine.
Wall insulation values are in excess of R-20. Roof cavities are designed to accommodate R-40 fiberglass insulation. In addition to providing exceptional insulation values, double-wall construction permits sealing systems which are truly airtight.
Three different log home building systems are available from Four Seasons Log Homes:
- Double-log system. Two 3-by-6-inch double tongue-and-groove log walls with insulation and vapor barrier in between the log walls.
- Single-log system. One 3-by-6-inch double tongue-and-groove log wall with a 2-by-6-inch stud wall to the inside, which provides space for insulation and vapor barrier.
- Timberlog. A 2-by-12-inch tongue-and-groove siding, profiled to resemble a large solid log. Please note that the building method in the Timberlog system is not log construction but conventional western platform framing.
Another important feature of all Four Seasons’ log homes is its commitment to using only kiln-dried materials. This feature ensures stability and provides a high-quality pine finish free of checks and distortion.
To meet the needs of every prospective home owner, 48 standard designs, 94 floorplans and a free custom-design service are offered. Pricing is based on material content. There is no extra charge for custom designs. The company’s building methods are so flexible that virtually any plan can be manufactured in either one of their systems. Four Seasons Log Homes ships worldwide and has never encountered a building code they could not meet. In business since 1977.
