Editors’ Commentary: With this spacious kitchen situated at the center of the home next to the great room, the cook is always included in gatherings. The Highlights: - Because it’s in the middle of the floorplan, the kitchen lends itself to a central meeting area. With the master bedroom on one side and the great room and deck on the other, this kitchen is a great location for any time of the day. – There will never be too many cooks in this kitchen, thanks to the spaced-out preparation areas. There is ample counter space on either side of the stove, as well as even more counter space on a separate semi-circle situated several steps beyond the stove and fridge. – A separate island between the two counter tops lends itself for preparation and casual dining.
