ABC Modular Log Homes was founded in 1994 by George Orren, who had served as a traditional log home manufacturer for 6 years as their sales manager, and four more years as director of sales. After seeing many different brands of traditional log homes, George came to the conclusion that there had to be a better way—a way to have the beauty of a log home without the many problems that accompanied it (i.e. maintenance, insulation, leakage, darkness, the carpenter bee problem, etc.) ABC Modular Log Homes was created in response to this need for something better. Keith Livziey purchased the business in 2009 and brings years of construction experience to the company.
When he designed his modular log home company, his requirements were simple.
1. The home must look, inside and outside, like a traditional log home.
2. Maintenance problems had to be reduced to just the re-application of preservatives approximately every 8-10 years.
3. The leakage problem had to be eliminated.
4. The company had to be able to “build custom” for practically no added cost.
5. The homes had to qualify for standard home owner insurance rates.
6. The homes had to qualify for standard modular bank mortgage rates.
7. All this had to be provided at a much more competitive cost compared to name brand traditional log homes.
And you know what?
He has been able to do all of the above! Keep in mind that since our homes are modular, they have been built in a controlled environment, thus not being subjected to the ill effects of the weather.
